Absorbed dose distribution in human eye simulated by FOTELP-VOX code and verified by volumetric modulated arc therapy treatment plan

This paper illustrates the potential of FOTELP-VOX code, a modification general-purpose FOTELP combining Monte Carlo techniques to simulate particle transportation from an external source through internal organs, resulting in 3-D absorbed dose distribution. The study shows comparison results obtained by software and volumetric modulated arc therapy technique. planning technique with two full arcs was applied, plan created destroy diseased tissue eye tumor bed avoid damage surrounding healthy tissue, for one patient. coverage, homogeneity index, conformity index target, volumes critical structures were calculated. Good agreement human using these techniques.
